FDF Towers/ Glass wire: OSP Project Manager

Supervised the att Light Gig project for Independence  Mo.  The installation of underground fiber and Ariel Fiber to enable the use of fiber to the customer premises. Read the blue print and co-ordinate the coring and Ariel teams to complete the project to att specifications safely and within deadline parameters.

Quality Control Engineer for the installation of the Google fiber network.

Inspected the quality of the fiber install both Aerial and underground network connectivity. To check Drops and installs from the prim to the customers home by way of the NIU interface.  To inspect the customer prim.  To make sure the contractor that was hired by Google restored the prim back to original specs after installation of fiber path and Fiber net work interface equipment.

Worked where assigned in the Business IT unit to assist in High level teams to provide high level skills to the team and promote the LTE 4G technology. Duties included attending High level meetings on the proper equipment builds for inventory of the equipment used for the VoLTE 4G on shore and off shore testing by these high level design test teams. To work with the cutting edge equipment in the AT&T lab environment that provides the testers to use for High level  LTE 4G testing before it was placed into production for the normal user on the wide area network.

 

Comforce/TNSI-Conversion Coordinator

Researched with various telecom carriers to determine the appropriate switch technicians, escalation paths, ordering and notification requirements, and lead times for various technologies in different geographic regions.

Developed detailed conversion plans for each trunk group conversion using prescribed tools. Maximized resource availability and resolved resource contention issues as they arose.

Scheduled internal and external resources for trunk group and signaling conversions.  This included participation from vendors, carriers, and SS7 engineers. Managed lead times and any orders required before and after each conversion.

 

 

 

 

JMNiel Nextel/Ericsson   Network Engineer

Performed nightly maintenance on the wide area wireless net on the Lucent side of the wireless network. To performed software installs and upgrades to get the rest of the switches up to 3g speed by doing retro fits by the use of the mops provided by the Ericsson engineers and this was completed during the night maintenance window provided.

 

TEK-SYS / New AT&T   Switch Ops RF/Project Coordinator

July 2008 to August 2010 Overland Park, KS

Versed in the use of Switch tech’s tool, Siemens HP UX Software called Radio Commander. This was used to turn up and turn down RAN signaling to the 3g UMTS/CDMA Antenna arrays for the assigned tower crew working on site in a Tri-state area, Illinois, Missouri and Kansas. Also was used to create alarms for their RAN signaling to the 3g UMTS/CDMA Antenna arrays from the BTS to the Regional Operation Control Centers can monitor remotely reporting from the BTS/cell to the switch platform located at their R-NOCC. To coordinate the crews for the installation of  LTE RAN Equipment for the next phase of 4g equipment. Versed in the Used of a Nortel developed HP UX software called WMS from the Alcatel/ Lucent 7670 switches levels to access the UMTS/CDMA 3g RAN signaling path to the BTS Cell site to turn up and turn down the antenna arrays for the tower crew assign to expand antenna array’s for the use of RAN 3g UMTS signaling in a Tri-state area. Versed in the use of the AT&T software use for their ticketing systems to create tickets and specific tickets called EIM’s for the crew working the Tri-state area.

 

Convergenz /Sprint/Nextel  RNET Engineer (Cisco/ juniper Specialist)

November 2007 to February 2008 Lenexa, KS

Contracted by Sprint to help get their 2g router network up to 3g spec’s. Performed nightly change management events, with the switch techs for the upgrade of the Cisco 10008K and  Juniper M10i & M40e routers on the Sprint Core local area and wide area network. To the switches up to MLPPP standards, worked the RNET  hotline during the days to help assist the switch techs with new builds and upgrade stragglers sites on the 3g network as well.

 

Tek Sys./Cingular the New AT&T Switch Technician / T1 test & turn up

January 2006 to May 2007 Overland Park, KS

Acceptance with 3g layer Cells sites. Test head to head with Local Exchange Carriers and be familiar with the 2310 T-bird for manual testing of UMTS/ CDMA  RAN technology T1’s form the switch side  as well. Monitoring the TDMA on 5E Lucent Switch, cat five wiring for the True position (E911) equipment. Test the paths of  LMU’s for the E911. Check the cross connects in the 532L DAC’s . Keep accurate records of new UMTS/ CDMA  RAN technology  installs of the T1 testing platform, by use of their CTS ticket management system. Also provision the path for the new UMTS/ CDMA  RAN  T1’s in the Alcatel 1631 & Tellabs DAC’s, Tellabs 5500 DAC’s. Familiar with the 5620 GUI on the 7670 Alcatel Switch, also familiar with Centest, and Spirent testing software from the switch tech level. Also Scripted Span adds from the Switch to the UMTS / CDMA   BTS/ cell site as a switch technician as well, for UMTS/ CDMA  RAN 3g carrier adds.

 

Act-1/Sprint   Test Engineer 1 Network Operations Specialist

Provisioning, Test and Acceptance of  new EVDO DS3 and DS1 3g Circuits thru the switch on the local and wide area network, with the use of Spirent software, (widely known as React) that allows access to the Tellabs DAC’s, Alcatel DAC’s along with other network equipment from the Lucent and Nortel switch locations remotely. To test with the testers on the local exchange carrier groups for the test and Acceptance of new 2g and 3g EVDO circuits on a new layer of the Sprint 3g WAN as well as the Local area 2g and 3g network at the Switch level.

Responsible for troubleshooting various software platforms such as: SS7, WSCP, VMS, VAD, Tellabs 5500 Alcate1631 DAC’s and Hekimian at the NOCC.  Responsible for DS1 testing, on PCS wireless network. was a key team player in cross training implementation of regional teams at the NOCC. Trained remote switch analyst at remotely accessing the Lucent 5E switches in the NOCC. Also versed in the use of Spirent DS1 Testing software.  Assisted in the training of 26 members of my team, as well as all NOCC Analysts on a daily basis on the use of remote switch tech testing tools(React testing software). The network Liaison between the NOCC and the Alcatel lucent DAC’s and Tellabs DAC’s. Created the Service level agreements between the NOCC and the local exchange carriers.
